Monster Mavericks (Mockup Jam)

Setting:

Monster Mavericks is set in an alternate steampunk-inspired Wild West world where technology and magic coexist. The game takes place in a sprawling open world filled with diverse landscapes such as deserts, forests, mountains, and abandoned mines. Players take on the role of a skilled monster hunter who roams the frontier, battling monstrous creatures that threaten the land.

Story:

Monster Mavericks revolves around the player character, a seasoned monster hunter seeking fame and fortune in the untamed Wild West. The player character embarks on a quest to uncover the truth behind the sudden rise of dangerous monsters in the region, which is threatening the livelihood of the local towns and communities. As the player progresses, they will uncover a deeper conspiracy involving a powerful organization that aims to control the monsters for their own nefarious purposes. Along the way, the player will meet a colorful cast of characters, each with their own motives and secrets, who may aid or hinder the player's journey.  The monsters will be chimeric combinations of animal and machine.

Gameplay:

Monster Mavericks features fast-paced and dynamic action combat with ARPG elements. Players will engage in thrilling battles against unique monsters using an arsenal of steampunk-inspired weapons and gadgets. Players can choose from a variety of weapon types, such as rifles, pistols, shotguns, and melee weapons, each with its own strengths and weaknesses. The player's arsenal can be upgraded and customized with modifications to enhance damage, accuracy, and other attributes.

In addition to combat, exploration is a key aspect of the game. Players will traverse the open world, uncovering hidden treasures, discovering ancient ruins, and unearthing clues about the monsters' origins. 

As players progress, they will gain experience and level up, unlocking new skills, abilities, and talents. Players can also gather resources from defeated monsters and the environment to craft new weapons, armor, and consumables, providing strategic choices in loadouts and playstyle.

Multiplayer:

Monster Mavericks supports both solo play and cooperative multiplayer, allowing players to team up with friends or other players online to tackle challenging monster hunts together. Cooperative play encourages teamwork and coordination, as players can combine their unique abilities and tactics to defeat powerful monsters that would be too difficult to tackle alone.
